Things To Do
The Palm Springs area provides an abundance of activities for the visitor. Shopping, entertainment, museums, golf, and much more are available. Listed below are a few of the more popular attractions.

SHOPPING
  • The River at Rancho Mirage - located right across the street from the hotel.  It sports a park-like waterfront with cascading waterfall, fountains, live music, a movie theater, and an entertainment amphitheater.  Of course, restaurants and shopping are plentiful.
  • El Paseo Shopping District - located in Palm Desert, It is known as the Rodeo Drive of the Desert. Experience shops, boutiques, art galleries, restaurants and more.
  • The Gardens on El Paseo - located at the end of El Paseo Shopping District. A small, outdoor garden setting with beautiful landscaping, music, and a tranquil setting.
  • Cabazon Outlets - located in, where else, Cabazon, which is situated just east of Banning on Interstate 10 on the way to Palm Springs. Find designer labels at discount prices.
MUSEUMS
  • Palm Springs Art Museum - located in downtown Palm Springs, on Museum Drive. In addition to the exhibits, a variety of performing art is also presented. including concerts and opera. AKA Palm Springs Desert Museum.
  • Palm Springs Air Museum - located just northeast of the Palm Springs airport on Gene Autry Trail. View World War II combat aircraft and related artifacts, artwork, and library sources.
  • Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert - located in Rancho Mirage on Gerald Ford Drive. Experience over fifty "hands-on" exhibits for children of all ages.
  • The Living Desert - located in Palm Desert.  See remarkable plants, animals, places, and natural phenomena associated with deserts. It is a zoo, botanical gardens, natural history museum, wilderness park, nature preserve, and education center all rolled into one.
ATTRACTIONS
  • Knotts Soak City Palm Springs - located in Palm Springs, near the airport on Bob Hope Drive.  Tired of the desert heat? Come here for thrilling water slides, a large wave pool, a lazy river, or just relax by the water and soak up the sun. There is also a large childrens' play area.
  • Palm Springs Aerial Tramway - located in Palm Springs just off highway 111 on the west edge of the city. Ascend 2.5 miles to a pristine wilderness aboard the world's largest rotating tramcars. Have a bite to eat at the top (there are two restaurants - one is cafeteria style and one is fine dining - reservations suggested for the latter) or just have a look around.
GOLF, RESTAURANTS, AND MORE
  • Golf abounds in the desert area, as do restaurants. Remember that the hotel has numerous restaurants and a fantastic golf course. A web search can easily identify some likely candidates.
  • There are several cities in the desert area around the hotel that are easily accessible. For the most part they are located south of I-10. Roughly, from west to east, they are: Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, Bermuda Dunes, La Quinta, and Indio.  Desert Hot Springs and Thousand Palms are located north of I-10. A web search for activities in the various cities will reveal many possibilities.
